Joe Mitchell talks about his 32 years at Braniff Airways Click Here

Joe Mitchell was hired in 1966 as a gate agent in Brownsville. In 1967, he moved to Dallas Love Field where he worked as a gate agent until 1973. Joe moved into ground operations at D/FW airport in 1974 which included handling the Supersonic Concorde in 1979-1980. He stayed on for the transition from Braniff Airways to Braniff, Inc in 1982 and 1983. He was one of the employees that helped launch Braniff II in 1984. For Braniff II, he served as D/FW Operations Manager and later moved into executive management.

Joe's last day with Braniff was in 1998, when he was the last of only five remaining employees.

We have known Joe for 17 years, and consider him a great asset.
